Improved quality consistency and sustained sharpness result in knives with excellent geometry. Friodur is a specialized ice-hardening procedure used on the steel blade.

Zwilling Pro is utilized by professional chefs and home cooks throughout the world because of its exceptional cutting performance.

Zwilling’s proprietary high carbon stainless steel is used only for the precision-forged knives in this line.

The molecular structure of the steel is altered during this procedure, which enhances the cutting characteristics and results in an exceptionally sharp blade with a long-lasting cutting edge.

A laser-controlled process of hand-sharpening and polishing each knife ensures a consistent cutting edge all the way down the length of the blade.

In terms of ease of use, ZWILLING Pro is the most user-friendly knife available on the market. The distinctive blade form and ergonomic bolster are the culmination of more than 200 years of knife-making knowledge, as well as a thorough investigation into how blades are really used.

A distinctively curved bolster supports the professional pinch grip, which places the thumb and index finger on the blade for safe cutting and reduced fatigue when cutting.

It was decided to alter the blade such that it would have a greater curve in the front to help the rocking motion of Western cutting, while the straight back would be suitable for the Asian chopping motion.

When cutting, the entire length of the blade may be utilized, and the blade can be sharpened from bolster to tip.

The blade was developed in Italy by Matteo Thun and manufactured in Germany by ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS, the firm that sets the standard for great cutlery around the world.

Difference between twin pro and pro

The angled bolster on the pro lets you utilize the entire blade, whereas the complete bolster on the twin pro prevents you from doing so. Chef knives from Wusthof and other manufacturers feature a full bolster, which prohibits you from utilizing or sharpening the knife’s back edge. Using the full blade for cutting is made possible by the pro’s angled bolster. The pro is better than the twin pro for me.
